All Iowa children entering Kindergarten & 9th Grade are required to have a dental screening. A screening for Kindergarten kids may be completed by a dentist, dental hygienist, physician, nurse or physician assistant & 9th grade dental screening must be completed by a dentist or dental hygienist ONLY.

WCPH I-Smile Coordinator will hold two clinic dates in August for dental screenings to be completed. No appointment required, first come first serve.

If you have a dentist or your child already had a dental screening earlier this summer, have the dentist complete a Certificate of Dental Screening Form. If your child doesn’t have a dentist or can’t get in before school starts, take this opportunity to cross this off your to do list.

All completed Certificate of Dental Screening Forms should be returned to your child’s school nurse. Call the I-Smile Coordinator if you have any questions at 319-653-7758.
