Women, Infant, and Child Nutrition

WIC is a supplemental nutrition program that provides nutritious foods such as milk, cheese, eggs, cereal and infant formula at no cost to families with pregnant women or young children.  Through this program the families also receive nutritional counseling from trained dieticians and referrals for health care.  Income guidelines must be met for eligibility in the program.

APPOINTMENTS

The Johnson County Public Health staff comes to the Washington County WIC clinics four days per month.

Appointments can be made by calling Johnson County Public Health for appointments through September 30th. Appointments after October 1st can be made by calling Community Action of SE Iowa.

Inclement weather policy

If a WIC clinic needs to be cancelled because of inclement weather or emergencies, Community Action of Southeast Iowa will notify clients with appointments via text or phone calls if at all possible.  For any questions or to reschedule, please call Community Action of Southeast Iowa at  319-209-2850
