Today we recognize Autism Awareness Day, a time to increase understanding and support for individuals on the autism spectrum.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a developmental condition that can affect communication, behavior, learning, and social interaction. Signs often appear in early childhood, which makes early identification and support especially important.

Early screening and intervention can help children build important skills and reach their full potential. Through the 1st Five program, we support young children and families by connecting them with screenings, resources, and services when developmental concerns arise.
